If you like to have a lot of deep red stars, this is your plant. FIRST PRIME is a bud-builder, the scapes are quite tall and well-branched so crowding is quite rare, and when you think it really ought to be done, it has made 3 or 4 more buds! It handled division without any pause whatsoever, and bloomed for two and a half months! Rebloom scapes come up while the first ones are still blooming. This is a perfect back of the border plant and it is very lovely up close as well, a rich velvety deep red. It has great holding power even in full sun. I am well pleased with this one! The name comes from the movie and series "Stargate."
